This layer follows H120 V2’s selected storm and replay time. It shows recorded positions within the same Florida study area for each storm: 88°W–79°W and 23°N–31°N. It is separate from modeled county exposure.

Counts are distinct observed vessels or airborne aircraft in the previous completed UTC hour within the study area, not message counts or total traffic. A dash means unavailable coverage, not zero activity. Receiver coverage varies between places, times, and sources; cross-storm count differences are not directly comparable traffic-demand estimates.
Positions are sampled once per 15-minute interval. Motion interpolates between recorded positions at most 30 minutes apart, rejecting implausible speeds. Gaps break trails. Aircraft are shown at the map surface because the prepared dataset does not retain altitude. Traffic changes alone do not prove rerouting, cancellation, evacuation, or storm causation.
Each daily file retains its source URL, date, bounding box, and hourly counts. Identifiers are hashed; names and callsigns are omitted.
